Montenegro was admitted to the OSCE by the decision taken at the meeting of the Permanent Council, on June 2006, which was the first Montenegro’s membership in an international organization after the restoration of its statehood.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE (OSCE PA), created by the Madrid Declaration, held its first session in 1992 in Budapest, when it was decided to establish the seat of the International Secretariat in Copenhagen. Its primary task is facilitating inter-parliamentary dialogue, an important aspect of the overall effort to successfully meet the challenges of democracy throughout the OSCE area. At each Annual Session, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly elects its President who acts as the highest representative of the Assembly and presides over the meetings of the Assembly.

Montenegro is entitled to three members (the head and two members of the delegation) and three alternate members in the Parliamentary Assembly. The delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the OSCE PA is composed of the Head of Delegation, Mr. Ranko Krivokapić, members, Mr. Milutin Sinović and Mr. Goran Danilović and alternate member, Mr. Branko Čavor. The Secretary of the Delegation is Ms. Anđela Radunović, Advisor in the Parliament of Montenegro.
