SECURITY AND DEFENCE COMMITTEE

- considers proposals for the laws, other regulations and general acts, from the field of security and defence of Montenegro and its citizens;

- performs parliamentary control of the work of the police and the National Security Agency and other security bodies and services;

- considers exercise of the constitutional rights and freedoms of people and citizens during the carrying out of duties of the police and the National Security Agency and other security bodies and services;  

- considers proposals for appointment of the director of the police and the National Security Agency; 

- provides opinion to the proposals for nominations and appointments of heads of military and intelligence, counter-intelligence and security affairs at the Ministry of Defence.
