Meeting of members of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants with members of the Senate of the Republic of Italy

Chairman of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants, Mr Miodrag Vuković, PhD, hosted the working lunch with representatives of the Senate of the Republic of Italy, Mr Aldo di Biagio and Mr Stefano Collina. Meeting was also attended by members of the Committee, Ms Žana Filipović and Mr Koča Pavlović 

During the meeting, both sides presented their vision of the current political and social situation in Montenegro and Italy, common perspectives and barriers these two historically close countries have been facing. Mutual need to strengthen bilateral parliamentary cooperation through friendship groups and working bodies of both parliaments was particularly emphasized.

One of the topics of the meeting was the cooperation of Montenegro with emigrants. Senators Mr Aldo di Biagio and Mr Stefano Collina, stressed that the long process of finding ways of cooperation with their emigrants, created references and considerable experience of state institutions of the Republic of Italy in this matter. The senators also stressed their readiness to help the process of strengthening ties with emigrants, so the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants would enhance and improve forms of action with emigrants from Montenegro.
