The group of 80 students of High School of Economics “Mirko Vešović” from Podgorica, visited the Parliament of Montenegro, as part of the program “Open Parliament“

The students were introduced with activities of the Parliament of Montenegro, its organization, competences and functions, and they were particularly interested in process of passing laws, rights and responsibilities of MPs, issue of representation of women in parliament and details form the history of Montenegrin parliamentary as well.

The group of 80 students of High School of Economics “Mirko Vešović” from Podgorica, visited today the Parliament of Montenegro, as part of the program “Open Parliament”.

Deputy Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr. Slobodan Dragović, introduced students with activities of the Parliament of Montenegro, its organization, competences and functions. High school students were particularly interested in process of passing laws, rights and responsibilities of MPs, issue of representation of women in parliament and certain details form the history of Montenegrin parliamentary as well.

In the continuation of the visit, the students also visited the parliamentary building, as envisaged by the usual program for citizens, especially watching specimens of the art collection, collection of coats of arms and photos of former presidents of the Parliament.

This was the second visit of students of legal-administrative orientation, initiated by the students of Student Parliament of High School of Economics “Mirko Vešović” and it represented the continuation of successful cooperation, aimed at raising awareness of young people concerning significance of the parliament and strengthening the principles of transparency of the Parliament.
