The 30th meeting of the Committee for Human Rights and Freedoms held

The Committee for Human Rights and Freedoms, at the 30th meeting held today, as the umbrella committee, considered the Proposal for the Law on removal and transplantation of human organs for therapeutic purposes and the Proposal for the Law on execution of a suspended sentence and a sentence of community service  

After the extensive discussion, the committee endorsed the following, by obtaining required majority of the votes cast: the Proposal for the Law on removal and transplantation of human organs for therapeutic purposes, as well as the Proposal for the Law on execution of a suspended sentence and a sentence of community service, and suggested it to the Parliament for adoption.

As part of the agenda item Current issues, members of the Committee got familiarized with the citizen petition sent to the Committee, and decided to submit it to the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms for further proceedings, with the requirement that after the procedure they be notified.
