Peace and stability the most important for the state progress

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Darko Pajović received delegation of NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT), led by General Denis Mercier.  The meeting was attended by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, Admiral Dragan Samardžić

The President of Montenegrin Parliament expressed his gratitude for the visit of high guests, reiterated firm commitment of the state to join NATO and to adopt experiences and standards of the Alliance member states.

Mr Pajović emphasised the significance of the help that Montenegro has been obtaining in the accession process as well as the significance of the accelerated ratification by a large number of the states.

- Full-fledged membership in NATO provides numerous benefits for our country, of which long-term peace and stability are the most important. There is no alternative path for progress of the state and the region. The recent history of the region reminds us of the value of the permanent peace, provided by full-fledged membership.
