At today’s fifth meeting, the Council of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, in line with Article 91 paragraph 5 of the Law on Prevention of Corruption (Official Gazette of Montenegro, No 53/14) interviewed candidates meeting the requirements for the election of Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption.
The meeting was opened to the public, except in the part of interviewing the candidates: Mr Mladen Tomović, Mr Sreten Radonjić and Mr Dušan Drakić, upon their request. The interview with candidate Mr Željko Tomović was opened to the public.
Members of the Council posed question to candidates with regard to introductory presentation of the candidates, written and reasoned proposal for the work programme and key priorities of the Agency as well as questions relating the competences of the Agency (Law on Prevention of Corruption, Official Gazette of Montenegro, No 53/14; Law on Lobbying, Official Gazette of Montenegro, No 52/14; and Law on Funding of Political Parties and Election Campaigns Official Gazette of Montenegro 52/14).
Members of the Council voted in order established by the List of Candidates meeting the requirements for the election of Director of the Agency, namely:
- Mr Ristan Stijepović and Goranka Vučinić voted for candidate Mr Mladen Tomović;
- Mr Ristan Stijepović, Mr Radule Žurić, Ms Goranka Vučinić and Mr Bojan Obrenović voted for candidate Mr Sreten Radojičić;
- Mr Ristan Stijepović voted for candidate Željko Tomović; and
- Mr Ristan Stijepović voted for candidate Mr Dušan Drakić.
Ms Vanja Ćalović, member of the Council of the Agency, did not vote for any of the candidates.
Following the vote, the President of the Council noted that candidate Mr Sreten Radonjić won four votes, thus, in line with Article 91 paragraph 7 of the Law on Prevention of Corruption, he was elected Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption.
