Upon the invitation of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Mr Sreten Radonjić attended a meeting with ambassadors of the EU member states in Montenegro.
Topic of the meeting was: “Implementation of the electoral legislation ahead of 2016 elections“.
Mr Radonjić presented to ambassadors the activities being undertaken in order to create conditions for beginning of work of the Agency, especially in part relating to implementation of control over the funding of political entities and election campaigns. He also informed the ambassadors on activities regarding establishing the information system of the Agency in that field, as well as on plans for strengthening capacities of this body, through hiring and training of new staff.
At the meeting, the Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption presented the priority activities regarding drafting of the internal acts and by-laws, as well as the strategic goals of the future Agency. Mr Radonjić reiterated that the Agency would consistently and proactively implement its legal competencies, as well as competencies from the Action Plan for Negotiation Chapter 23, in order to achieve tangible and measurable results.
The meeting with the ambassadors was also attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Interior and the State Election Commission.
