COMMITTEE ON INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND EMIGRANTS

- considers the issues of foreign policy and international relations within the competence of the Parliament;

- considers proposals for the laws on ratification of international treaties;

- proposes platforms for discussions with foreign delegations and considers reports on the visits, participation in international gatherings and study visits within the competence of the Parliament;

- adopts the annual and quarterly detailed programs of international cooperation; cooperates and exchanges experiences with relevant working groups in other parliaments and international organisations, by establishing joint bodies, friendship groups, taking joint actions, harmonizing views on issues of common interest;

- gives an opinion on candidates for ambassadors and heads of diplomatic representations in foreign countries;

- considers issues relating to the status of immigrants from Montenegro in other countries and proposes measures for the exercising, improving and protecting their rights;

- establishes contacts and cooperates with organizations of immigrants from Montenegro abroad.
