He graduated from the Faculty of Philology, professor.

In the period 1980-1986, he worked as a teacher of Serbo-Croatian language and literature in Lopare, Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

In the period 1986-1991, he worked as an education inspector in Mojkovac.

In the period 1991-1993, he was the President of the Local Assembly Mojkovac.

In the period 1993-1998, he was Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of Montenegro.

In the period 1999-2004, he worked as the Secretary of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Spatial Planning in the Government of Montenegro. 

In the period 2004-2007, he was a member of the Executive Board DPS of Montenegro.

In the period 2007-2009, he was a member of the Parliament of Montenegro. He is a member of the Main Board of DPS Montenegro. 

He is Montenegrin by nationality.

He is married, and a father of three.
