A group of participants of the international student conference “Montenegro International Model of United Nations” visited the Parliament of Montenegro today.
At the beginning, the participants received information on history, organisation and work of the Parliament of Montenegro. On the occasion of touring the building, competencies and functions of the Parliament of Montenegro were additionally explained as well as activities of working bodies.
The Second Conference of the Montenegro International Model of United Nations (MIMUN) this year has brought together young people from 15 countries, from four continents, as well as students from the University of Montenegro, Mediterranean University and Faculty of Administrative and European Studies. One of the aims of the Conference is students to be directly introduced with the work of the Parliament.
The visit is organised within the programme “Open Parliament”, which allows individual and collective visits, with the aim of introducing as many as possible citizens to the work of the Parliament. The project “Open Parliament” is aimed at strengthening connections between the Parliament and citizens, especially youth.
