A group of students of the Montenegrin Association of Political Science Students visited the Parliament of Montenegro earlier today.
At the beginning, the students received information on history of Montenegrin parliamentarism, organisation and structure of the Parliament, as well as its competences and functions. They were also informed on how parliamentary working bodies and MP groups functioned. The current 25th convocation was mostly discussed as well as manner of monitoring sittings, hence the media reporting on parliamentary activities was explained.
Apart from the Plenary Hall, the students had an opportunity to see the gallery of all presidents of the Parliament of Montenegro since 1906 until today, and collection of Montenegrin dynasty coat of arms.
The visit is a part of the project “Open Parliament”, focused on strengthening connections between the parliament and citizens, especially youth. The first visit of a group of representatives of the Montenegrin Association of Political Science Students was on 11 February 2011.
