On the second day of the Spring Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, meetings of Political Committee, Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security and Committee on Economics and Security were held.
During the Meeting of the Political Committee, MPs discussed the growing strategic relevance of Asia - implications for NATO, partnership of Alliance with Central Asia, as well as security at the far north and the role of the North Atlantic Alliance
During the Meeting of the Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security, it was talked on internal and external challenges in the process of European integration of Georgia, securing stable future for the Western Balkans and maintenance of democratic change in the Middle East and North Africa.
Issues of economic and strategic implications of unconventional oil and gas revolution as well as the issue of budgetary allocations to the defence sector, national security and solidarity of the Alliance were discussed at the meeting of the Committee on Economics and Security.
In the continuation, it was planned Defence and Security Committee, Science and Technology Committee and Standing Committee to have meetings.
