On that occasion, the participants in the gathering were addressed by: Mr Areg Galstyan, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia; Mr Ara Marjanyan, President of E-cube, and Ms Tracy German, Expert, King’s College, London.
During the discussion, the topics covered included: strategic pillars of development of energy sector in the Republic of Armenia, improvement of energy sources, principles of energy efficiency and saving programme, diversification of primary energy sources and supply routes, with special reference, on this occasion, to the issue or regional integration in the field of energy security.
The continuation of the work of the gathering was marked by a session dedicated to “Political Developments and Civil Society in the Region”, moderated by Mr Tevan Poghosyan, Armenia, Member of the Delegation to the NATO PA, and the participants were addressed on the topic by: Mr Sergey Minasyan, Deputy Director of the Caucasus Institute, and Mr Dennis Sammut, representative of LINKS Analysis and Oxford University.
89th Rose-Roth Seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, supported by the Swiss Government, gathered 160 participants, including 75 parliamentarians from 17 NATO member states and partner states, representatives of governments, international organisations, NGOs, universities, and representatives of public opinion.
On this occasion, Permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly was represented by its member Mr Borislav Banović.
