Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Damir Davidović, as well as representatives of certain organizational units of the Parliament Service, held meetings with the expert De Vrieze.
At separate meetings, the experiences of the Parliament in the field of parliamentary cooperation in the region were put forward, and it was pointed out that there was a political will, as well as interests and goals of enhancing regional parliamentary cooperation.
In this context, the following was mentioned: the Cetinje Parliamentary Forum; the Meeting of the European Integration Parliamentary Committees of the States participating in the Stabilisation and Association Process (COSAP); Joint Conference of the Committees on Foreign Affairs of Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina; Parliamentary dimension of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative; Parliamentary dimension of the Danube Cooperation Process.
The interlocutors also discussed the functioning and future support to the new Parliamentary Assembly of the South East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP); the role of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) in Sarajevo and the Regional Secretariat for Parliamentary Cooperation in South East Europe (RSPC) in Sofia.
