On the fifth day of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, by adopting the Resolution on Prevention of human trafficking for forced labour, all the member states were invited to undertake a number of steps in fight against human trafficking for forced labour without the punishing of its victims – including the adoption of the law on prosecution of end-users and perpetrators, better regulation of the workplace, control of immigration and return policy.
At the plenary session, gender equality issues and possible measures that can be undertaken in order to reconcile private and professional life were also subjects of debate. By adopting a Resolution on the subject, PACE invited governments of member states to introduce measures that are based on shared responsibility, such as parental leave that enables parents to equally take care of their children, as well as laws that enable a more flexible form of organisation that does not have a negative impact on career advancement.
On the last day of the Parliamentary Assembly, a meeting of the Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly was also held, attended by the MP Mr. Zoran Vukčević. At the meeting, the agenda for the April session was agreed upon, as well as topics that will be considered on the meeting of the Permanent Committee in Paris, which will be held in March this year. Additionally, an ad hoc Committee on observation of the upcoming presidential elections in Montenegro was formed and Mr. Roman Jakić from Slovenia was elected as its chairman.
Montenegrin delegation consisting of: Mr. Zoran Vukčević, Mr. Damir Šehović and Mr. Predrag Sekulić attended the Winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, held in Strasbourg from 21st to 25th January 2013.
