On the occasion of ending of cooperation program of the Parliament of Montenegro, Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) and British Council, on Thursday, 14th March, 2013, a meeting will be held where achieved results will be discussed by the Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr. Damir Davidović, MA, the Chairman of the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget Mr. Aleksandar Damjanović, MA, the Head of the WFD Program for Europe, Mr. Alex Romaniuc, Deputy Ambassodor of the United Kingdom to Montenegro, Mr. Lyndone Radnedge and the Director of the British Council in Montenegro, Ms. Vanja Madžgalj.
The project “Building Capacity of the Parliament of Montenegro” is being conducted since 2011, when after successful implementation of the previous program, new Memorandum on Cooperation was signed, third signatory of which was the British Council.
The aim of the Project was to provide support to the MPs and the Service of the Parliament of Montenegro during the EU accession process, especially regarding legislative and oversight role of the Parliament, including building capacities in human resources management, communication and financial oversight. Conducting of the program included numerous trainings, seminars and study visits, that enabled MPs and employees of the Parliament to better acquaint, inter alia, with the parliamentary long-time practice of the United Kingdom.
The meeting will be held in Red Room, at 1:00 pm.
