The occasion for the meeting was Mediterranean Games, which will be held in 2021, and the official candidate is Algerian Oran. The interlocutors emphasised good sport relations between Algeria and Montenegro, and stressed that Montenegro, as a small country, was very strong – particularly in collective sport, witnessed by numerous medals from various competitions.  

H.E. Abdelhamid Chebchoub stated that it was necessary to strengthen the existing cooperation between Algeria and Montenegro in all fields.

Parliamentary cooperation between the Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Parliament of Montenegro and parliamentary Committee of Algeria has been agreed.
