This year’s gathering will deal with essential challenges that the region faces, but also opportunities for regional cooperation through intensifying transport and energy connections, as well as creating conditions for attracting foreign investments despite continuous economic uncertainties.

The Summit, organised by Friends of Europe, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), will be opened by European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Mr Johannes Hahn.
