The Group of representatives of the Montenegrin Association of Students of Political Science visited the Parliament of Montenegro today.
Students of the first and the second year were initially introduced to the history of the Montenegrin Parliamentarism, organization and structure of the Parliament, its competences and functions, as well as the activities of the working bodies and MP clubs. The focus was placed on the current 25th Convocation of the Parliament, as well as on the method of monitoring the meetings and media reporting from the Parliament of Montenegro.
Students saw, apart from the Plenary Hall, the other rooms as well, where the meetings of the committees of the Parliament, other meetings and meetings of delegations were being held, and then the gallery of the photographs of all the presidents of the Parliament of Montenegro from 1906 to the present day, as well as the collection of Coats of Arms of the Montenegrin Dynasty.
The visit was part of the project “Open Parliament”, focused on strengthening the relations of the Parliament and the citizens, especially the youth. The first visit of the Group of representatives of the Montenegrin Association of Students of Political Science happened on the 11th of February 2011. It is expected that, in this manner, the students will promote and enrich the theoretic knowledge acquired at the Faculty.
