She graduated from the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology at the University of Montenegro, Department for Metallurgy, as a valedictorian. She finished her undergraduate studies at the same faculty – Department for Physical Metallurgy and she defended her Master thesis in 1997. She defended her Doctoral thesis in 2001.

As of 1994, she worked at the University of Montenegro as a teaching associate and then as an assistant. Since 2001 she had been hired as an assistant professor at the Faculty for Metallurgy and Technology for the subject Choice of Metals and Alloys. Since 1998 she has been working in the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro at the position Advisor for Science. From 2004 to 2006 she was a representative of the University of Montenegro in the Committee for Science, Commission of Serbia and Montenegro for cooperation with UNESCO. She was a member of the Administrative Board of the University of Montenegro.

As of 2002 she has been hired as a coordinator for Montenegro at the American Council for International Education. She is in charge of implementation of JFDP program, aimed at training of teaching staff from high educational institutions in Montenegro at renowned Universities across the USA as well as A-SMYLE exchange programme, within which high school students from Montenegro have the opportunity to attend American High Schools and stay in the USA for a year.

As a winner of international scholarships she attended specialist studies that lasted for several months – at the University of Birmingham, Great Britain, then at the University of Leuven, Belgium and at the University in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

She also spent three weeks in the USA as a participant in the prestigious programme of State Department, International Visitor Program, and she improved her knowledge on the topic: “Conflict Resolution”.

She is the author and co-author of a large number of scientific works published in national and international magazines, presented at scientific and professional conferences. She participated in several science projects, some of which were of international character. She is an associate – reviewer in the international magazine “Wear”, Institute for Manufacturing, Cambridge.

She is one of the founders of Movement for Changes (Pokret za promjene).

From 2006 to 2009 she was an MP in the Parliament of Montenegro.

She was a member of the following Parliamentary Committees: Committee on Education, Culture and Sport, Committee on Gender Equality and Administrative Committee, member of delegation to the EU and member of the Commission for allocation of funds to NGOs of the Parliament of Montenegro.

As of 2010, she has been a councillor in the Municipal Assembly of the Capital - Podgorica and Head of Councillors’ club of Movement for Changes.
