Vice-President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr. Branko Radulović, professor PhD met in his cabinet with Ms. Ivana Perić, the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Montenegro

Comparative experiences of Montenegro and Croatia in the integration process to the European Union, as well as the oversight role of both parliaments of both countries in the process of European Integrations were exchanged at the meeting.

The Vice-President Radulović stressed the importance of the role of the entire Parliament of Montenegro, and in particular the oversight function, which is necessary in order to achieve faster and better accession of Montenegro to the European Union. Mr. Radulović also discussed the drafting of the Resolution on the European Integration, which was to, subject to its binding character, strengthen the oversight role of the Parliament during the process of integration of Montenegro into the EU.

The Ambassador Perić expressed her satisfaction that the drafting of the Resolution on the European Integration has been worked at and agreed to the fact that strengthening of the oversight function of the Parliament was necessary in order to achieve high quality entrance amongst the EU Member States. She also underlined the primary and most important role of the Parliament in the division of powers and the need to strengthen the role of the Parliament as to establish and strengthen the confidence of citizens.
