During today's meeting with the Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro prof. Branko Radulović PhD, representatives of EDS (European Democrat Students) emphasized the importance of the EU enlargement to the Western Balkans and added that the European Union at this point has been applying a good approach. In addition, representatives of EDS stressed that much more must and can be done in the field of fostering civil sector, especially in the field of cross-border projects that may have a direct impact on better life of citizens, and wherefore the representatives of EDS organized this mission.
Prof. Branko Radulović PhD expressed pleasure over their visit and the fact that the role of young people in the EU integration process is fostered this way. He informed them about the way in which the Parliament operates and the efforts made in creating a democratic society for citizens.
During the visit, interlocutors jointly stated that the dialogue is the key to success for a better understanding of the countries in the Balkan, and cooperation among them is the only way for faster accession to the EU countries.
EDS is an official student organization that brings together students from over 35 countries, who belong to a center-right political option. In its official principles, EDS promotes democracy and protection of human rights.
