Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Suljo Mustafić spoke with Deputy of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey Ms Hüsnüye Erdoğan in Podgorica. Mr Mustafić and Ms Erdoğan are chairs of parliamentary friendship groups of Montenegro and Turkey in the Parliament of Montenegro respectively the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey.
They emphasised, at the meeting, that relations of the two countries were friendly, and that they had been increasingly improved in political, economic, cultural and educational fields. Also, they stated that partnership of the two countries existed in all fields of cooperation, as well as through common achievements in the field of Euro-Atlantic integration. They noted that it was necessary to intensify contacts via parliamentary friendship groups, particularly by holding joint meetings in Montenegro and Turkey. The interlocutors concluded that parliamentary cooperation was an important segment of the overall relations, and that cooperation can be additionally improved through meetings of parliamentary groups.
Deputy Hüsnüye Erdoğan headed a delegation of the Union of Municipalities of Turkey, which handed over in Podgorica a donation of funeral vehicles for the needs of the Islamic community.
