Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr. Suljo Mustafić received today in his cabinet the President and members of association “Society of social solidarity and culture of Yugoslav- Montenegrin emigrants” Mr. Bedri Gulom , Mr. Ervin Ibar, Mr. Hidajet Demirok, Mr. Avdi Akiš, Mr. Savaš Herceg. This association gathers emigrants of Montenegrin origin living in Turkey.
The president of the Association Mr. Bedri Gul thanked Vice President Mr. Suljo Mustafić for the meeting and pointed to the importance of this visit, noting that this is the first association gathering Montenegrin emigrants.
They emphasized that Turkey and Montenegro have good and friendly relations, and that their society is aimed at achieving direct useful contacts of our emigrants in Turkey and establishing cooperation with counterparts in the homeland, and strengthening cultural and economic cooperation.
Both sides expressed pleasure over the strengthening of relations between Montenegro and Turkey on the social and cultural level, and pointed out the need for further work for improving those relations.
“Bosniak diaspora from Montenegro in Turkey is a bridge of cooperation of the two states. We willstrive for more active cooperation with our diaspora, through the governmental institutions and the parliamentary Committee on International Relations and Emigrants "- said Vice President Mustafić.
Representatives of the Association invited Vice President Mustafic to attend the opening ceremony of the office of the association in Istanbul.
