Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Branko Radulović visited the renowned processor of rolled and extruded aluminium products from Šibenik

Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Branko Radulović, professor PhD, visited today the company „TLM-TVP“ in Šibenik, where he spoke with the owner of the company Mr Marko Pejčinoski, chairman of the board Mr Tonči Kandido and a board member Mr Miroslav Šupe

On this occasion it was pointed out that the "TLM-TVP" company is a renowned processor of rolled and extruded aluminium products. It is currently in the process of restructuring and modernisation which will help to reach a value of 90,000 tons in production of rolled products and 20,000 tons of extruded products, during the next year. With this the total gross needed amount of the aluminium based semi-products would be at about 140,000 tons. The company delivers its total production to the most prominent companies in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

During the meeting, it was concluded that it is necessary to restructure and modernize the Aluminium Plant Podgorica (KAP), that KAP, to a great extent, was like that until the `90s, that "TLM-TVP" once used to procure significant amounts of aluminium from KAP, and that the intermediaries, such as the company "Glenkor", are not needed for mutual cooperation.

It is very important that the new owner "TLM-TVP" is ready to take the total production of the modernized KAP, in the selection ofhomogenised billets, blocks and alloys, the selling price of which would be higher than € 250-350 per ton compared to the LME and the current ingot. Investments needed to achieve this production are minimal with the return time of up to one year. The new owner of "TLM-TVP" is ready to provide full technical, financial and logistical support for modernization of KAP. The only requirement is termination of the contract with Russian owners and termination of commercial contract with "Glenkor".

It was also emphasised that the aluminium is the metal of the future and that it was reasonable to expect that the current production of 30 million tons would double in the next 15 years.

It was also pointed out that the current owners and management supported the idea of establishing a regional association of producers and processors of aluminium, and the Vice President Radulović announced that the host of its first meeting in the autumn would be Montenegro.
