On the occasion of receiving the literary award “Teuta”, President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić sent a congratulatory telegram to a writer and first President of the Doclean Academy of Sciences and Arts Mr Jevrem Brković, stating:
“This award is another acknowledgment to a writer Brković and his rich and valuable creative work, which has given a significant stamp to recent Montenegrin literature.
Through his extensive work, Brković courageously and steadily opened numerous frequently forgotten themes and discourses, giving them an impressive writer's articulation. In that manner he created a story of modern Montenegro, opposing the mythomania, and various prejudices and archaisms by which our country, in all aspects of social action, would be reduced to the level of provincial folklore.
Today, Montenegro is, I believe, irreversibly on the road of European emancipatory values, owning a great gratitude for that to its precious creators and zealous workers such as Jevrem Brković “.
