President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić met today with the President of the Republic of Croatia Mr Ivo Josipović. Mr Krivokapić and Mr Josipović discussed the policy of good neighbourly relations, being the basic component of cooperation between the two states and historical closeness of Montenegro and Republic of Croatia as well. The interlocutors discussed in particular the role of national parliaments in European integration process and experience of the Croatian Parliament.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of parliamentary groups in the Parliament of Montenegro, who had opportunity on that occasion to exchange views with the President of Croatia on current political moments in both states, existing and future cooperation models, political but also logistical help which the Republic of Croatia provided so far to Montenegro on its path to membership in NATO and European Union.
