Upon the invitation of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr. Ranko Krivokapić, the Speaker of the Parliament of Iceland Ms. Ásta Jóhannesdóttir is paying an official visit to Montenegro.

Following the reception with Ms. Jóhannesdóttir in the Parliament, President Krivokapić thanked her for, as he put it, the friendly relation that the Iceland had had with Montenegro, as well as the help that it offered in the European integration. President Krivokapić added that the parliamentary experience of Iceland is of immeasurable significance for Montenegro.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Iceland Ms. Ásta Jóhannesdóttir stated that the Parliament  of Montenegro and the Parliament  of Iceland were connected by common values, and she pointed out that in the future they would offer unconditional support to Montenegro on its path to the EU.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Iceland today also signed the Guest Book of the Parliament of Montenegro.
