President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr. Ranko Krivokapić, met today with the Chairman of the Committee on Safety and Defense of the National Council of Slovakia, Mr. Jaroslav Baška.

Mr. Baška extended congratulations to Mr. Ranko Krivokapić on his reelection for the President of the Parliament. He also expressed assurance that new Government of Montenegro would keep a straight course towards Euro Atlantic integration. Mr. Baška said that Slovakia would continue to support Montenegro in its aspirations to become a member of the EU and NATO. Mr. Krivokapić and Mr. Baška agreed that Montenegro and Slovakia have great possibilities for economic cooperation, but also cooperation in the field of state administration reform, where experience of Slovakia could be precious for Montenegro. Mr. Krivokapić and Mr. Baška exchanged views on models for intensifying parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
