“Esteemed fellow-citizens,
Cultural heritage and beauty created for centuries by wise work, in the embrace of Kotor’s San Giovanni, have always been an inspiration and fascination for world’s unexpected guests. That treasure of Montenegro, pearl of the Adriatic Sea, is a part of UNESCO list of 830 places in the world whose value and richness belong to the whole mankind.
For centuries, Kotor has been connected to world’s seas by its harbour, thus it proudly shares its value to the whole world. Kotor has an obligation to improve life conditions and quality of life of its citizens, and the state of Montenegro has an obligation to protect and preserve the cultural heritage by supporting Kotor’s further development.
On behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro and my own behalf, I congratulate you 21st November – Municipality Day of Kotor”.
