“On behalf of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly I most severely condemn the tragic terrorist attacks, which have shaken the whole international community. I would like to extend my most sincere condolences to the victims’ families, many of which who were on their way home to spend New Year’s Eve with their loved ones.

We support the efforts of the Russian Federation to investigate these cases and to strongly stand against the perpetrators of this heinous crime. The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has been decisive in expressing its perseverance in combating terrorism and extremism. We will undoubtedly double these efforts in order to enable better cooperation aimed at combating terrorism, especially now awaiting the Olympic Games in 2014. It will be the only appropriate way to honour the victims of these horrible crimes.”
