President of the Parliament of Montenegro and OSCE PA Mr Ranko Krivokapić received today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Cyprus Republic H.E. Mr Ioannis Kasoulide.
President Krivokapić and H.E. Ioannis Kasoulide stated friendly relation between Montenegro and the Republic of Cyprus. The two countries are continuously cooperating, with the broad space for further development in the field of economic and political relations.
Stressing the geographical size of Montenegro and the Republic of Cyprus, President Krivokapić said: “Small states are particularly familiar with how difficult is to manage defence and security systems. Thus, there is no alternative when it comes to security and political integration of Montenegro to North Atlantic Alliance”.
H.E. Ioannis Kasoulide said that Montenegro’s influence to the whole region of the Western Balkans has been very important in terms of setting an example of peaceful and stable state. “One of the greatest comparative advantages of Montenegro is its capacity and devotion to dialogue and good neighbourly relations.”
Parliamentary cooperation as well as parliamentary diplomacy are both good examples of dialogue and joint development – especially of small countries.
