President of the Parliament of Montenegro and OSCE PA Mr Ranko Krivokapić received H.E. Mr Masafumi Kuroki, Ambassador of Japan to Montenegro, today.

Montenegro and Japan have good bilateral relations that needed to be focused towards intensifying economic cooperation, pointed out President Krivokapić and H.E. Mr Kuroki during their meeting.

“Although geographically distant, Japan is important to Montenegro, politically and economically”, pointed out President Krivokapić. Mr Krivokapić also said that previous projects that Japan had in Montenegro, such as renovation of school buildings and investments in certain municipalities, were an example of good cooperation, so that any such future activity was welcomed.

H.E. Kuroki emphasised that Japan was giving full support to political processes in our country that meant integration into the structures of the NATO Alliance and the European Union. “Your efforts in that sense would signify additional stability of the entire region”, said Mr Kuroki.
