President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić is paying a two-day visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, at the highest level.
On day two of the visit, Mr Krivokapić met with Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Mr Artur Rasizade and Minister of Economy and Industry Mr Shahin Mustafayev, in Baku.
At the meeting with Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Mr Artur Rasizade, the interlocutors discussed political situation in the region of the south Caucasus as well as repercussion of mutual relations of these states on political and economic situation. They emphasised that accelerated economic growth of Azerbaijan was useful for promotion of the whole region but also investments which that state had around the world, including Montenegro.
- This visit opens a new phase of cooperation between the two states, characterised by a greater degree of acquaintance, deepening relations and negotiations on investments in new fields, Mr Krivokapić emphasised.
At the meeting with Minister of Economy and Industry Mr Shahin Mustafayev, Mr Krivokapić spoke on further course of cooperation between the two countries with an emphasis to the fields of energy, traffic infrastructure and tourism, which has been a result of political connections. The interlocutors emphasised increased mutual interest for investments, confident that it would additionally deepen the existing friendly relations of the two countries.
During his visit to Azerbaijan, Mr Krivokapić is being accompanied by Mr Gustavo Pallares, OSCE PA Deputy Secretary General.
