Letter of condolence on the occasion of tragic outcome of flooding in the region

President of the Parliament of Montenegro and OSCE PA, Mr Ranko Krivokapić, sent a letter of condolence to the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ms Maja Gojković, the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Mr Josip Leko, the Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives (B&H), Mr Milorad Živković and the Chairman of the House of Peoples (B&H), Mr Dragan Čović, on the occasion of tragic outcome of unprecedented flooding that affected the region.

“Dear citizens of Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, dear colleagues,

We are deeply shocked by the situation that affected the citizens and areas of your countries, inflicting tragic human losses and material damage. Montenegrin citizens sympathize with all their being with your losses and pain.

Montenegro sent and is determined to provide you with any form of assistance in accordance with our capabilities, in order to at least help, to the extent possible, in relieving the pain caused with the loss of lives and damage caused by the devastation of unprecedented torrent of water.

At this time poise and togetherness are the most important. This way we invite all our citizens to express their solidarity, which has always been an integral part of being of our people, and help each other in order to save lives and property.

On behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro and my own behalf, I extend sincere condolences to families who lost their loved ones in these floods.

Hoping that as quickly as possible all people who are still in danger be rescued and safe,
