“Dear Montenegrin citizens, here in your homeland or worldwide,

By the adoption of the Declaration on the independence of the Republic of Montenegro on 3 June 2006, the will of its citizens enters into force to live in independent, civic and Euro-Atlantic state.  

With the moment of declaration of independence, Montenegro has been returned to the international stage as independent and sovereign state with the full international-legal subjectivity. The justice, we have been waiting for 88 years, won. Thus, foundations for adopting new civic Constitution of modern Montenegro have been created and its Euro-Atlantic path has been established for forever.  

After the historical “YES” we said for Montenegro we love, laurel wreath that embraced golden letters of Montenegrin history in 2006, on 3 June the signature is interweaved in the eternal flame of freedom, love and existence of our state. 

 Citizens decided with their heart and their pen, and the Parliament of Montenegro memorized it with the decision. It is the day of victory of civic, free and Euro-Atlantic Montenegro founded on the rule of law, honest Montenegro that protects all its citizens, as well as others from itself.
