President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr.Ranko Krivokapić met with the Head of PACE Observation Mission Mr. Christopher Chope

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr.Ranko Krivokapić received today in Podgorica the Head of Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe – PACEfor monitoring upcoming presidential elections in Montenegro, Mr. Christopher Chope.

President Krivokapić voiced pleasure over the fact that the PACE Election Observation Mission would monitor the elections, with the aim of assessing presidential elections in terms of meeting principles of democratic election process.

The Head of the Mission, Mr. Christopher Chope indicated that the PACE Election Observation Mission would stay in Montenegro until 8th April 2013 and monitor activities during the upcoming elections as well as the work of the election administration and relevant state authorities, with the aim of assessing presidential elections in terms of meeting principles of democratic election process.

Interlocutors expressed confidence that the elections would be held in a fair and free atmosphere, and that the principle of a democratic election process would be fulfilled to the greatest extent possible.
