President Krivokapić and President Spielmann pointed out that the rule of law and protection of human rights are the basis of every state and maturity of society.

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Ranko Krivokapić expressed gratitude to the European Court of Human Rights for the cooperation in the field of expert assistance and exchange of experience. “Montenegro has a close cooperation with the Venice Commission, through which it actively worked on constitutional reforms which should enable basic independence and responsibility of judicial power”, stated Krivokapić.

President of the European Court of Human Rights Dean Spielmann praised steps of our country aimed at fostering protection of human rights and freedoms, and he particularly emphasized the positive role of the Parliament of Montenegro which has good cooperation with the European institutions through Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
