Minister and the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Mr Didier Burkhalter, in his letter to the President Krivokapić, expresses great appreciation for the work and results achieved during his term of office at the head of the biggest Parliamentary Assembly in the world – OSCE PA.

H.E. Mr Burkhalter further states in his letter: “Switzerland has greatly appreciated your personal commitment in enhancing cooperation between the Parliamentary Assembly and OSCE institutions. Your efforts have noticeably strengthened the organization’s ability to promote democratic elections and stability in the OSCE region. Switzerland has also valued your endeavor to facilitate cooperation and dialogue between parliamentary members of the OSCE participating States, including in the context of the Ukrainian crisis, which continues to dominate the agenda of the Swiss OSCE Chairmanship.”

Minister Burkhalter in his letter concludes by stating that promotion of regional cooperation in the Western Balkans remains the priority and that it will be fully pursued by OSCE.
