“Citizens of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje,

Since forever one thing is certain of Montenegrins – wherever they may be in the whole wide world, their souls are in Cetinje. The cradle of our people, nucleus of our culture and libertarianism – the unbroken thread of statehood – that is the Old Royal Capital Cetinje, the city at the foot of Lovćen, great as the cope of heaven above it.

There is a place in Cetinje, which makes Montenegro and its Old Royal Capital firmly bound with the world – the Lovćen Villa. That is the symbol of strength and unity in the fight for freedom of the soil that gave birth to us. May the Lovćen Villa wake up in everyone the call to jointly bring back the full splendour and a better life to Cetinje.

Cetinje was and will be spiritus movens of Montenegro, and the soul of Montenegro was immortal.
