Your esteemed Excellency,
the citizens of France,
Today’s terrorist crime at the editor’s office of “Charlie Hebdo” has shocked us all and plunged a sharp blade into the safety and security of not only the French citizens but of all independent journalists and the free Europe. United we must gather our collective strength and knowledge in order to find answers to new challenges carried by the new age, in order to protect our countries and our citizens.
Not one of our countries will be safe until all tragedies, such as the one of today, are prevented at the time of their planning and any thought of such kind of threatening life and security is thwarted.
I assure you that Montenegro and its citizens empathise with the pain of the French people and I offer you my deepest condolences on behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro and on my own behalf.
President of the Parliament of Montenegro and President Emeritus of the OSCE PA,
Ranko Krivokapić
