The interlocutors pointed out good bilateral relations between Montenegro and the United States of America.

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić pointed out that the United States were an important political partner to Montenegro, as confirmed by the meaningful and strong relations between the two countries. “This is the year in which in Mediterranean Montenegro should be the final piece of the puzzle in the map of NATO coastal protection from Portugal to Istanbul. Our commitment is clear – the rule of law – as a pillar of the country”, said President Krivokapić. During the conversation he expressed gratitude for all the understanding and support given to Montenegro by the USA on our path toward integration and wished a successful term of office to Ambassador Uyehara.

H.E. Ms Margaret Ann Uyehara expressed pleasure over coming to Montenegro, especially in the important year regarding the NATO integration, and was grateful for Montenegrin hospitality. Ambassador Uyehara said that in her term of office she would provide new energy for further development of relations between the two countries.
