President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić today received Vice Marshal of the Polish Sejm Mr Jerzy Wenderlich.

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić and Vice Marshal of the Polish Sejm Mr Jerzy Wenderlich today spoke on relations of Montenegro and Poland with a focus on cooperation of the two parliaments. Mr Krivokapić and Mr Wenderlich agreed that parliaments had an important role for democratic processes in society, particularly in young democracies.

Mr Krivokapić stressed the Parliament of Montenegro has strengthened its constitutional mechanisms and that it showed its full capacities through Euro-Atlantic integration process. “In social and political processes, such as integration for development of democracy, sharing of responsibilities is important as well as mutual control of branches of power”, Mr Krivokapić underlined.

Vice Marshal Mr Jerzy Wenderlich said that Montenegro may count on the support of Poland, particularly when it comes to sharing of experiences in the integration process.
