Mr Krivokapić and Mr Yee noted that Montenegro and the United States of America had friendly relations, and they expressed pleasure over the intensive cooperation they had been having in order to achieve Montenegrin strategic priority – fully fledged NATO membership.

It was pointed out at the meeting that the USA had been following the progress in the key area for Montenegrin NATO membership – the rule of law, and it was emphasised that the USA remained a strong advocate and supporter to Montenegro’s path towards the Alliance.

Mr Krivokapić pointed out that Montenegro was working intensely on meeting the criteria for NATO membership, and expressed his belief that those efforts would be appreciated on the occasion of sending the invitation to Alliance membership.
