During the meeting of President Krivokapić with the delegation of the Bosniak Alliance of Montenegro (BSCGNY), headed by its President Mr Esad Rastoder, and our diaspora, they spoke on models and specific activities which should connect in a better way Montenegro and its citizens worldwide, particularly those living in the USA.
President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić stressed that small countries such as Montenegro should have a special responsibility and take a special care about its diaspora: “The most difficult thing is to live and to create far away from your country, because that means renunciation of family life which is a very important part of our being and culture. Our citizens scattered around the world stood by our homeland it in all of its crucial moments out of love – no matter how far they were. We are all prod of that, but we also have an obligation to do more and better in order to draw strength through unity for new challenge”, Mr Krivokapić stated.
On the occasion, President of the Bosniak Alliance in New York Mr Esad Rastoder, on behalf of BSCGNY, delivered a Plaque for help and support in the implementation of programme of this association to President Krivokapić.
The interlocutors spoke on concreate issues important for our diaspora in the USA, with a special accent on institutionalisation of relations between Montenegro and its emigrants. Additionally, they discussed the issues of emigration of our citizens from the north, as well as creation of conditions for potential developmental and investment projects of our diaspora in Montenegro.
