He once again emphasised the huge contribution to this historic achievement made by President Krivokapić, through strong leadership and passionate commitment that he showed in all previous years of Montenegrin path to NATO.

Mr Turner emphasised that the invitation would be an additional stimulus for the state of Montenegro to continue implementing the reforms necessary for becoming a full member of the Alliance.

President Krivokapić thanked to President Turner for all the support he provided to Montenegro in the capacity of President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and member of the American Congress.  He emphasised that parliamentary cooperation between America and Montenegro, with a huge support of President Turner, has acquired its full validation by establishment of Montenegrin caucus in the USA Congress, which, by its intensive two-year activities, immensely contributed to promotion of Montenegrin path to NATO.

Mr Krivokapić stressed that Montenegro would make additional efforts in order to justify trust it was given to be at the verge of full membership of the organisation gathering the states which were synonyms of democracy, rule of law and economic prosperity.
