“Dear citizens of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje,

Your town is not only the Old Royal Capital of Montenegro but also a symbol of statehood, anti-fascism, as well as the source of wisdom and peace in moments when the name of country was abused in the projects of human downfalls.

Cetinje has given to Montenegro a spark of eternal ray of its international subjectivity and independence, given it glory and birth to the greatest amongst us, always keeping others safe from itself, and proudly bearing on its chest a civic Montenegro – a warm country for all faiths and nations.

A place such as Cetinje deserves special attention of the state, and requires a local authority by measure of its citizens, whose policies would be deserving of deeds created for centuries. Cetinje must create a decent job for its citizens, and provide the young with prospects.

On behalf of the Parliament of Montenegro and on my own behalf, I wish you a happy 4 January - Founding Day of the Old Royal Capital.”
