Ambassador Fröhlich thanked President Pajović for the reception, and congratulated him on his appointment as the top man of the Parliament Montenegro. Mr Fröhlich added that Austria had been following Montenegro’s progress on its path of Euro-Atlantic integration with great interest. The Austrian Ambassador was especially interested in the work plan of the Montenegrin Parliament in the upcoming period.
President Pajović said that the intention was for the parliament to maximally speed up its work dynamics, especially having in mind that a large number of laws and other acts was in the parliamentary procedure, waiting to be adopted. Mr Pajović said that he believed that the agreed more effective work process of the parliamentary working bodies would contribute to this dynamics in the parliament and that a majority of laws would be adopted by the end of July of this year. Furthermore, he emphasised that that a part of the agenda taken from the Agreement on Creating Conditions for Fair and Free Elections, relating to the Montenegrin Parliament, will be completed within the envisaged deadline.
President Pajović also informed Ambassador Fröhlich on the process of ratification of the NATO Accession Protocol for Montenegro, pointing out that NATO was the future of the entire Balkans, as a guarantee of peace and stability.
