President Pajović thanked to Ambassador Brumeaux for the cooperation and support, particularly emphasising visibly improved relations of the two countries at the parliamentary level.

The President of the Parliament expressed gratitude for France’s support in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, stressing that Montenegro’s membership in NATO was important for strengthening stability in Montenegro and beyond.

The President informed the outgoing Ambassador that the Parliament of Montenegro has fulfilled its part of obligations under the Agreement on fair and democratic elections. Inter alia, three committees for monitoring the election process have been established. He emphasised as very important the active participation of all political parties in the work of the Parliament during this period, with no boycott by any side, which resulted in making up for a great backlog in adopting the laws.

As a result of the aforementioned, Mr Pajović expressed conviction that the upcoming elections will be held in conditions significantly better than those of all previous cycles.

The President of the Parliament expressed expectation that the excellent cooperation of the states would be continued in the fields of economy, living standard, European integration and introduction of European standards.

At the end of the conversation, President Pajović expressed his best wishes and solidarity of the people of Montenegro with the people of France in overcoming challenges they were facing.
